TEACHING AID 1

The first teaching aid is called the ‘Class Capacity’. I choose this teaching aid for the high achievers. It is about to read a scale, estimating the volume. It is a user friendly program and is very suitable for year 2 pupils. From the main menu a key is mentioned for usage of this program. It is a very simple program or a teaching aid that can be used for year 2 pupils. The picture of a cylinder and the measurement scales are clearly identified.

The scales are being changed for the pupils to identify specifically. This shows that pupils are well equipped with the knowledge to state the measurement accurately. The marked division is given to identify the measurement easily. With this we can state the pupils are sure and positive with their readings. At the end of their guessing, teacher checks the answer to given the measurements.

The second teaching and is for the low achievers. It is very colorful and creative. This is to attract pupils to concentrate and learn the techniques of identifying the measurement accurately. There are some animation pictures while the program is on. In this teaching aid, pupils would compare the different level of the volume of liquid. Pupils need to identify the greater volume. If the answer is correct say ‘yes..you’ve done it!’ and if it is incorrect say ‘sorry..try again!’.

The pictures are very clear and pupils can easily see the difference in both the containers clearly. With this experimental process, pupils would remember the method of measuring and reading the scales correctly. Thus, it makes the teaching and learning process satisfactory.
